Exothermic Engineering is the industry leader in the development and design of mill inerting systems. In 2008 we were retained by the PRB Coal Users' Group (PRBCUG) to develop the PRBCUG Best Practices document for mill inerting. We have subsequently presented several industry technical papers on the subject. Two are included on this site under "Technical Papers", with additional links below. We are members of the PRBCUG, and chair the Subcommittee on on Mill Inerting, as well as active participants on several pertinent NFPA technical committees.
Our engineers have tested, designed and modified both steam inerting systems and CO2 inerting systems, as well as designing and modifying logic, and checking logic revisions that were composed by others. Exothermic Engineering can provide a complete
package including initial testing, design, drafting, startup, performance testing and operating procedures for the entire system.
